Cataracts

The eye houses a natural crystalline lens, that functions as a lens inside a camera, focusing light on the back part of the eye, called the retina.  Due to age, medications, and diseases, the natural lens starts to lose its clarity. The lens must be clear in order to focus light properly onto the retina. If the lens has become cloudy, this is called a cataract, and the vision starts to become blurry.
